Crazy Crafters and Pootlers Blog Hop 20/12/2015

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters / Pootlers Blog Hop for December. This month we are excited to show off our "2016 Occasions / Saleabration Sneak Peeks". We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the next button further down to continue your journey on this blog hop. My name is Kathleen - aka lilypopcrafts and I am a Pootler, and I'm really excited to be taking part with Kylie's team of Cray Crafters!

Our theme was set by Sam Hammond Donald - aka Pootles, and it was 'One'. One set of DSP, one stamp set, one punch, one die etc, etc

I decided to go with the Love Blossoms range for my project, and I used the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, Bloomin' Love stamp set, Love Blossoms DSP, Love Blossoms Cardstock Pack (3 colours in one item, fab!), Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit (tons in one kit!), and Rose Red ink and I just had to add our new Wink of Stella pen.

This was actually a bit of a labour of love in itself - I'd used the thinlit for another project I was making, and kept eyeing up the negative that was left over. I decided to have a wee play, and use not only the main negative of the heart, but all of the 'bits' too..............yes, I did say it was a labour of love didn't I? Anyway, it really didn't take that long and I'm really happy with how it came out ;-)

So as well as using the negative of the die cut, I stamped the outline flowers into some of the negative space...

Used some of the sequins, pearl trim and bows from the embellishment kit...

I cut some of the pearls from the trim and popped them into the middle of the sequins, to add a bit of dimension. Stamped my sentiment onto a strip of the DSP, pennanted the end and stapled it on. I did colour the staple gold (with a sharpie pen) to match the gold paperclip, but that's just me ;-)

I'd love to hear your comments or feel free to ask any questions that you may have!

Happy crafting!
